Stoney Trail and 60 Street corridors amplify wind effects during blizzards, with gusts funneled along these arterials that increase drift potential on west-facing driveway approaches and laneways.

The flat grades simplify plowing but also mean windrows left across driveway aprons can still cause vehicles to hang up if the snow is packed hard, particularly on laned properties and townhouse clusters.
